Team 64 Baltic – Latvian and Lithuanian players ready for the 2025 season
The 2025 disc golf season is shaping up to be a big one for Team 64 Baltic’s Latvian and Lithuanian players. Some are heading to major international events, some are aiming for a rating boost, and some are looking to share their knowledge with others. Let’s take a closer look at their goals and plans for the year.
Mireta Jurgeleviciute
"My main goal for this season is to enjoy the game to the fullest! I believe that when I focus on having fun and playing with passion, the best results will follow naturally. At the same time, I aim to improve my consistency, refine my technique, and perform well at key tournaments."
For Mireta, this year is extra special – she will be competing at the PDGA Pro World Championship in Finland and also at the World Games 2025 in China. These events provide a unique opportunity to challenge herself against the world’s best players while representing her country on the biggest stage.
Her most trusted discs include Sword, Trespass, and Justice, offering the perfect combination of control, distance, and reliability.
Toms Vacietis
"My primary goal is to develop my skills and become a better thrower in every aspect of the game. Additionally, I plan to focus on disc golf content creation on YouTube and continue coaching, as I’ve found a real passion for helping others improve their game."
Toms has set a solid competition schedule for 2025, planning to compete in eight B-tier tournaments, including:
- Amtour Valmiera
- Amtour Pärnu
- All four Latvian Cup events
- Latvian Championships
- AirBaltic Open
His go-to discs are:
- Drivers: Royal Rive, Orbit Grace
- Fairways: Opto Pioneer, Opto-X Culverin
- Midranges: Opto Moonshine Orbit Claymore, Westside VIP Anvil
- Putters: Westside BT Medium Harp, Dynamic Discs Classic Blend Deputy
Sintija Klezberga
"My biggest goal for 2025 is to keep enjoying every aspect of disc golf—it has become an essential part of my life. Competitively, I aim to reach a PDGA rating of at least 900, and my dream would be to qualify for the PDGA World Championship. Another major target is to win the Latvian Championship!"
Sintija plans to compete in as many DGPT and DGPT Q Series events as possible this year. Her season kicks off in a big way as she heads to the U.S. to attempt qualification for The Open at Austin and WACO. She is currently on the waitlist for these events and is hoping for the chance to compete, which would make her the first Latvian player to play in these prestigious tournaments.
Her disc lineup includes:
- Go-to upshot disc: Soft Harp
- For stability: Grand Savior
- Straight tunnel shots: Opto-X Pure
- Midrange of choice: Gold Orbit Claymore
- Fairway driver: Gold Orbit Saint Pro
- Distance driver: Royal Grand Grace (she carries four different versions to handle any situation!)
We're definitely excited to follow the team's journey and wishes all players a successful season!
